Congratulations to Our Three Newly Licensed Senior Reactor Operators
The Nuclear Reactor Laboratory is pleased to announce that James Drabble, Claire McGinnity, and Carl Stover have passed the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Licensing Exam, an achievement possible through hard work and dedication.
They join the other 13 members of reactor operations staff who hold SRO NRC licenses to operate the MIT Nuclear Research Reactor. James is a junior in the Physics Department at MIT and served as a Leading Engineering Laboratory Technician aboard the USS Greeneville before coming to MIT, Claire is a junior in the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department at MIT, and Carl received his BA in Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music. Both Claire and Carl initially received their Reactor Operator licenses in 2017 before starting their SRO training.
