The Nuclear Reactor Laboratory is pleased to announce that Carl Stover, Jacob Miske, and Claire McGinnity have passed the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Reactor Operator Licensing Exam. They will join the other 21 members of reactor operations staff who hold NRC licenses to operate the MIT Nuclear Research Reactor. The trio spent months in our initial training program, which includes both theoretical and hands-on plant specific training. 

Carl is a senior in Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music, Jacob is a sophomore in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT, and Claire is a sophomore in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT.
