Sarah joined the MIT Nuclear Reactor Laboratory in 2009 and became licensed as a Reactor Operator in 2011 and as a Senior Reactor Operator in 2012. She obtained SB and SM degrees in Nuclear Science and Engineering from MIT in 2014, with a thesis related to the MITR fuel conversion project. She also completed a SM degree in Medical Physics at UMass Lowell in 2017. Sarah took on the position of Interim Superintendent in 2015 and became Superintendent in 2017, and her work interests include nuclear physics, criticality safety, human factors, systems engineering and safety culture.
